playing with the G10

went out a couple of nights ago to properly play around with the camera. i’ve seen many fantastic shots of klcc twin towers at night; but i’ve never actually wanted to take some pictures of my own. so i decided to try it out.

not easy was what i found out the hard way. i didn’t know the good picture taking spots, i had trouble getting a good picture… and it started to rain. here’s what i ended up with:

i wasn’t completely happy with the end results, but there’s still a lot i have to learn. on the bright side, picture taking is the new hobby, and one that seems to so far keep my mind off the troubles at work.

speed is an addiction

last weekend was a long one, since friday was a public holiday. the little joys towards the end of the year.

3am on a very empty federal highway led to a little naughty behaviour. but to be frank, this isn’t exactly very fast. especially not when i am able to hold a mobile phone and take a picture. definitely want to try this with a better camera next time, but this might require help from a passenger and would violate a personal code of not having any passengers about whilst driving “recklessly”.

still, definitely want to try this with the G10. one day soon, maybe.

sunsets ablaze

we’ve had some pretty crappy weather in KL the past couple of weeks. however, the past couple of days has been an exception to the monsoon season. the weather was several notches above your regular “hot” day and the office didn’t even feel cold with the air cond on full blast.

on the bright side, there was some very fasntastic sunsets. here’s two of my favourites from the past week:

didn’t last very long, because it was raining cats and dogs earlier this evening.
