in 2009, nike released a series of air force 1s for their 1world project; with the theme “influencer”. a total of 18 artists were selected to give their personal touch in the air force 1s – rasheed wallace, kaws, questlove ladainian tomlinson, krink, maharam (USA), busy p, booba (FRANCE), marok, uslu airlines (GERMANY), nitro underground, daisuke matsuzaka, hajime tachibana (JAPAN), michael lau, clot (HONG KONG), and two more yet unrevealed artists.
i’d been on the hunt for a pair of nitros for a very, very long time now (~1yr) and i’m glad i finally found a pair within budget.
i’ve seen these go anywhere from $1800USD – $4000USD; but no worries – i got them for relatively less than those high prices. struck them off my grail list… which doesn’t leave much left. untaiwans (which i’ve already found and should be on their way soon…), and maybe clots/laus. but that’s it. i’m done.
promised the gf that i’d only get one more sneaker for until the end of june… and this time, i plan to stick to that promise. i know its only january, but if you consider that i bought over 40 sneakers last year… well, somethings gonna have to change.
